Dinosaur throwdown

We celebrated G's 2nd birthday on Saturday with a dinosaur extravaganza. Gray is into dinosaurs these days and seemed to get into the spirit of the party. Unfortunately, the DC area was hit with a minor blizzard resulting in 6-8 inches of snow, so none of his little friends could make it. But our big friends and family did, and Mike Henry brought along the savior of the day, his 5 year old son DJ. G followed DJ around nonstop like a little puppy dog. It was a clear case of hero worship. Luckily for us, DJ is a super sweet kid, who didn't seem to mind having a crazy toddler sticking to him like a second skin. Take a peek at these pictures and tell me if it looks like Graydon is having a good time:

Both Papa T and Grandpa Byrne braved the weather to hang out with their favorite granddaughter:

Dinosaur masks were a big hit:

Hank Kleeman and his parents braved the elements and made it in time for the festivities. Hank and Finley were very intrigued with one another, lots of staring and even some hand holding. Finley then drooled on Hank, a sure sign that she was smitten.
Your mom lets you do what???!!!

Party people in the place

Blowing out the candles- some of them were trick candles (from Grammy!) so JC and I had to help out a bit. But he did a decent job on his own:

Cheers-ing with his new best bud DJ-

Trying DJ's hockey helmet on for size- we couldn't get him out of this thing!

As an added bonus, some recent pics of the Finnster- she is rolling over now, like CONSTANTLY. 16 weeks- right on track to mimic Graydon's developmental pace. Hopefully won't be long til she's crawling! I much more enjoy the mobile phase than I do the newborn phase.

Happy birthday GG! We love you little guy!
