These pictures are actually in reverse chronological order (the earliest ones start at the bottom).
Good times, thanks to everyone who came. The goose very much enjoyed himself.

catch up

Wow, I'm really far behind. I just downloaded over a hundred photos from my camera to the computer, and most of them are pretty cute. I guess I'll just post them in groups over the next several days.

We are having a busy week over here with our TODDLER! We had his birthday party on Saturday, it seemed like the little guy had a blast. His best present by far was from the Henrys- a tent from Ikea. Oh my, does he love this tent. You'd think it was made out of catnip. He loves to drag things in there (skanky shoes, bags full of garbage, dirty diapers- you know, his treasures) and then he rolls around on the tent floor, giggling. He is one crazy baby. Thanks to all our family and friends who made it over- everything was awesome and we appreciate all the love he was shown.

We had his one year appointment today and it went well. He is still in the 90th percentile for height but has dropped to the 25th percentile for weight, yikes! Although it's to be expected, what with the fact that he has never once in his life stopped moving, ever. All that motion is bound to burn some calories. Looks like he's going to be long and lean like his daddy and uncle. And his mama, until his mama's mama died and she decided to eat her way through her grief and singlehandedly destroyed whole pans of lasagna. Uf. But the genetics are there, at least.

Our pediatrician was very complimentary as to Gray's development and well-being. He said he is measuring well beyond his twelve months in all areas and was healthy as a horse. Then he told us that we better start praying that our next baby's a girl, because Graydon was very bright and was going to be a handful. We all started laughing, like haha, funny, and then the Doc stopped smiling and said, "Y'all, I'm serious. You're in for it." Rut roh.

I mean, just look at this face. Does this look like the face of a troublemaker?

(I love how he's pointing elsewhere. Already trying to blame someone else!)
