Finley Barbara

I just wanted to put a post up dedicated solely to my sweet girl. Finley is the BEST baby, JC and I can't even believe how good she is. She's so nice, and jolly, and happy, and chunky, and AWESOME! At 3 months, she is holding her head up well, totally trying to sit up, and scooting around on her back. She smiles, and coos, and even throws out some giggles. She sleeps 6-7 hours straight, is clearly eating well, naps great and loves to ride in the car. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop, because clearly this can't last.

holidays and such

It's been a busy December over here in crazybaby land. We've all been sick multiple times (except for JC, who it would appear has an immune system made of teflon), our furnace broke and we had to move in with Grammy and Grandpa B. for a few days, we had a massive blizzard here in the DC area, and on top of it all were trying to prepare for Christmas. It's been nuts, and my nerves are frazzled. I'm not going to lie, I am white-knuckling it til spring, when we can get Graydon outside again on a regular basis, and Finley is more interactive and sleeping longer (and hopefully more on a schedule), and the weather is nicer. Just hold on til spring, hold on til spring... :)
Our Christmas, although hectic, was lovely. Everyone got us and the babies wonderful presents and it was nice to spend time with family. Here are some pictures from the Byrne side, unfortunately we forgot to bust out the camera with my family.

Grammy got Graydon a black leather jacket, he looks like the Fonz when he puts it on. We are trying to teach him to give two thumbs up a la Arthur Fonzarelli.

Looking extremely cute:

Pooping under the Christmas tree (for some reason, he always goes and hides when he has to poop- so odd):

Her cheeks are sooooo chubalicious:

We had a surprise visit from the Kimballs, who got stuck at Dulles on a layover due to the blizzard. So we got to meet and hang out with the ridiculously adorable Jackson:

My fat girl- seriously the sweetest baby around, she is so freaking awesome!

Hope everyone who reads this had a wonderful holiday, and happy 2010!

3 new posts

Sorry it's been an age, we have been going to bed at 8 pm every night and that's when I would usually post. Here are three new posts below so we are somewhat caught up.

Fats

Here are some pictures from Finley's second month of life. Finley (aka Cricket, Squeaks, Pukey McPukerson, Veronica Vomit, Fats, Fat girl, Chunkster) is continuing to thrive. She is one big girl. She is only two months old and is fitting into 6 month old clothing! At her one month appointment she was 11 lbs and in the 95th percentile for weight. I am eager to see how she measures up next week at her two month check up.

Her weight is a definite accomplishment, seeing that she spits up or projectile vomits All. The. Time. The laundry we are doing (her clothes, her blankets, my clothes, couch cushions) is prodigious. It's nuts. G never threw up, and this muchacha never stops. Supposedly she should be growing out of it soon, we are going to talk to the doc about it next week. I have cut everything that could possibly be irritating her out of my diet, which helps, but we're still getting showered on a regular basis. On the flip side, though, she rarely cries. She is SUCH a good baby. She's a sleeper, she smiles all the time, and is just a total sweetheart. Such a difference from her brother, the infant from hell. I'll take all the spit up she wants to hurl my way if she'll only keep being such a sweet baby!
