The five days spent in the hospital after Gray's birth are largely a blur, thanks to the many, many percocets I was happy to swallow. Because I had pushed (unsuccessfully) for 3 hours in addition to the c-section, I had some major trauma downstairs. So they kept the epidural in for 2 extra days. Which was great for a couple of reasons- first, it helped to mitigate the pain; and secondly, and most importantly, it meant that I was unable to get out of bed, and so JC had to do allllll the diaper changes for the first 5 days :) Thanks JC! I don't think he's done as many in the last 3 months as he did that first week. Other than that, the first week was spent trying to breastfeed, not sleeping, and welcoming alot of visitors to come meet the little man:
After all those visitors the Byrne men were a little tired:
Aunt Kate
Proud uncles Lenny (the moose!) and Jefferson
Poppa T!
Grammy
Grandpa
Dianna
Katy
Amy

The day we came home, we were happy to see my cousins Kori and Jordan, who came all the way down from Philly to meet Grady and help out.
All in all, we had so many people call, visit and offer their support. We are really lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family in our lives!
